Nikka Taketsuru Pure MaltBlended Japanese Malt Whisky Bottled By Nikka 70cl 43% This blended Japanese malt whisky is dedicated to the father of Japanese Whisky and Nikkas founder, Masataka Taketsuru A true master craftsman when I came to whisky. Nikka Taketsuru is a blend of malts from Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. Here we see the soft malts from Miyagkikyo, balanced beautifully with the smoke and richness from Yoichi. The Yoichi whisky has been aged in ex Sherry casks

which was bottled in 2017

An appetising colour that suggests bags of fruits

rarer cream and green label versions but has that bit more of a raw edge with a very long and satisfying finish
